Welcome too:

Into The Dim - Part 2

In my last post about this game, I mentioned how good it was as well as things that could be developed....

Well. There are a few things that I have noticed. Some puzzles are difficult to solve, especially parts where you teleport down some stairs into an another area.

This is a short post mainly about more things that I have discovered over the past few weeks of playing this game. Now onwards we go!

You have to be very prepared. Every other living being you encounter can make three moves at a time as well as you do, and so taking out enemies in your path is a case of trying to outwit them: positioning yourself so you are able to move in front of them, ready for your next move. This then means that you can either use your fists by blowing them a punch to their face. Or, you can use the weapon that you have equipped in your small inventory. This gun takes up the same amount of movement as if you were to take a step on the path. You only have a max amount of 5 bullets when you start each game, which takes up three of your moves. It is designed for self-defense. That's all we know about it.

There is an option to buy more ammo for your gun which costs the gold coins that you've collected.

Skeletons are among the first species you encounter when playing the game, and their moves are very straightforward. In the same way as the player, this creature can move only three times at once, so the creature will move once the player has finished moving.

There are new monsters that I have encountered.

A spider species that spews out poison at you. This poison mimics taking the health of a bullet being charged towards an enemy. They can spit up to two blows of poison at the same time before moving closer to you, then spitting out some more. I call these the Spitting Spiders also known as the SS. These creates you must be mindful of and pay attention to where they can move in the next three moves.

An amphibian species. This is an eyeball with large wings and skinny long droopy arms that end in two-toed hooves. This sly creature flies around and smacks you when it gets the chance to do so. It only takes two hits before this winged creature's wings fall off and disappear. So make sure that you are one step away from it to use this chance to kill it right on the spot.

Playing this game allowed me to use my imagination quite a bit. There isn't much of a storyline to this game but it wouldn't hurt to come up with one instead. For me, the game illustrates a lost city or a parallel universe where the character is trapped in an unknown cave. The only weapon we have is a gun. This gun is most likely the most powerful tool that we have. The bullets could be made from a powerful copper metal that penetrates through the enemies skin, resulting in a small explosion and a prize of a gold coin. We only have 5 bullets per game, so it's wise to limit the amount of times that you can use them. For example, you could make a plan to trap your enemy in a space where you can use your weapon. You could even lead them in front of you so you could demolish them with three single punches.

Just remember,

Three steps. That's what you have. Use them wisely.

Good luck.........
